Part of the Siamese Ponds Wilderness
This is an unmarked trail leading to Square Falls. Note: When the water is low, the falls are more of a jumbled rapids.
Trailhead: Hwy 8 west of Bakers Mills, just west of the Kibby Pond Trail. There is a large parking area on the north side of the road.
Coordinates: -74.113 43.569
Entry is via the dirt road to the right of the parking area (about 100 feet east). There is a small (1 vehicle?) parking area a few hundred feet down the dirt road, but it could be easy to have other vehicles block you in. After this smaller parking area the road ends and becomes a trail. A few hundred feet further the trail crosses Kibby Brook. There is no bridge or cable to cross this brook.

Notes: This trail crosses Kibby Brook and runs along the East Branch of the Sacandaga River. The photos were taken when the river was very low. High water marks indicate that the river gets as much as 5 feet deeper. Note that Kibby Brook may also be quite deep at such times, which may make this trail inaccessible from the trailhead.
